Brick is colour filled with non-toxic wax crayon.
Without being sealed, the wax will only survive moderate play, and should be stored in a cool dry place.
Sealing the wax with a coating locks in the wax allowing for a permanent image that will survive much heavier play and protecting the wax from heat.
